We live in very troubling times that sometimes seem apocalyptic, Cardinal Burke said in a May 18 address to the graduating class of 2024 at Thomas Aquinas College in Massachusetts. The rebellion against God, the revolution against His truth and love handed down to us in the Church, has reached unimaginable levels, the prelate explained. The current rebellion is not only against faith, but also against reason: "We are witnessing in the world the denial of our very nature as God created us". And: "What is more, the rebellion and revolution are sustained by some within the Church, even by some who are called and ordained to shepherd the flock [= Francis]". The cardinal points to the German synod as an example, adding that the current sessions of the Roman ex-synod threaten to spread the same devastation to the universal Church. So why aren't more Catholics praying rosaries and having Masses offered for world leaders, those with global power and influence etc - no matter how evil they are or appear to be - in fact, the more evil, the more we should pray/have Masses offered for them. Why not 'adopt' one or even a few particularly problematic 'global leaders' and saturate them in Masses and prayers. It's so easy to moan about these people on blogs like GTV, but so unproductive, unless the spiritual help they need is being sought for them.

He is one". Francis is wrong. It was not the "cultures" that revealed God's name, but God himself through his revelation to Moses (Ex 3) and more fully in his Son, Jesus Christ. The theory of "finding God in different ways" contradicts what Jesus Christ says: "I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me" (Jn 14:6). Francis also proclaimed the following banality: "All religions, all cultures, look at the one God in different ways." But what matters is not different ways but the right way. Then Francis came up with the trick of giving his blessing to the inmates, but only in silence, "so that everyone can receive it from God in the way they believe [or don't believe]".
