On Sunday morning, Pope Leo XIV celebrated the Eucharist at a parish in Ostia during a pastoral visit as Bishop of Rome. One detail drew particular attention: grown women wearing make-up and sneakers served at the altar. While not unprecedented, it is uncommon to have such women serve at a Papal Eucharist. It had not occurred during Leo XIV’s pontificate until then.

I hate and despise his cheap-looking, modernistic, horrific vestments. Especially those shortened, puny, German-style miters he seems to delight in. Oh for a Pope who dresses like a Pope…..how long Lord, how long?

PRAYER REQUEST PLEASE. This is a humble request for prayer for the people affected by this area of weather manipulation experiments, one of whom at least I know who is active on GTV who is directly affected, and there is a lot of darkness and rain and mould sets in, and other unfortunate consequences.. the sun is rarely out. Please pray for this individual/family. Thank you so..

James 1:12-18
No one experiencing temptation should say, “I am being tempted by God.”
Often, people say this in veiled terms. Let us discern the times when we blame God for evil.
Then, let us thank Him for His love within us, which protects us from temptation.
Mark 8:14-21
“Guard against the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod.”
Let us be careful not to be taken in by selfishness and pride, even if it seems like strength to others.

Dear Dane,
We are born with attachments…
We are born with those whom we already love in our hearts…
Love, truly is ALL!
I am a long-retired analyst – as was my late beloved wife where for both we were blessed with “Love at first sight”…
We brought with us a Love of the Wild Ones, a love of Trees and Wilderness… A deep pity for what the Wild Ones would have to endure… A terrible for-knowledge of what was to come, both for those we Loved – and ourselves… Our poor old ‘rescued’ Parrot had to go to a so-called “Rescue Centre” as I was taken unexpectedly ill and only survived by… I now have her back, she clings to me whimpering for she was obviously hated and mal-treated having drab feathers and no tail feathers at all… She now cannot grip well and falls off of her perches. The day I returned, our tiny back yard was full of birds – a neighbour said that it was previousy empty… I could only cry my heart out… She is now sitting opon my shoulder and quietly whimpering…
Yet now, in this …

Since last year, interfaith leaders, religious legal activists and close political allies of the president have been laying the groundwork for a broader expansion of the role of religion in public life.
By this summer, the group — Trump’s Religious Liberty Commission — is expected to produce a blueprint for policy changes that could redefine the boundaries between government and religion in American life.
“We have to bring back religion in America,” Trump told the commission last year. “Bring it back stronger than ever before.”
Discussions by the commission …

Password-Protected “Pastoral Vision” - A Diocese-Wide Ego-Show?

Bishop Michael Martin of Charlotte, USA, ordered every priest to play a password-protected video on a screen during the homily in all Sunday Masses. The nearly ten-minute presentation outlined what he calls his “pastoral vision” for Western North Carolina.
Priests were unable to preview the video until receiving the password at noon on Saturday - a precaution that drew questions across the diocese.
The video was filmed at St. Peter’s parish, run by the Jesuits. It is considered one of the most liberal churches in the diocese and reportedly held homosexual-themed events some 25 years ago.
Football Talk
The video lays out a refrain the bishop repeats: “Everyone so loves Jesus, we share him with others.”
The bishop acknowledges the reality that “two thirds of U.S. Catholics don’t regularly practice their faith,” arguing that the Church must move beyond producing “believers” to forming disciples:
“The difference between being a believer and being a disciple is the difference between …Ավելին

Did the early Christians worship God like most modern Protestants do today? You know what I’m talking about. Casual gathering. Focused on a communal meal vibe. Hands in the air. Relaxed atmosphere. Almost like a spiritual hangout session. Or even drifting into that 60s hippie style emotional expression where structure and ritual are seen as suspicious.
No. That is not what you see when you actually look at history. It is basically the opposite.
Start with the obvious reality people ignore. The Apostles were Jews. Practicing Jews. That means they were formed in a system where worship was defined by law, sacrifice, and ritual. Worship was not improvised. Worship was not casual. Worship meant altar, priesthood, incense, chanting, Scripture proclamation, and blood sacrifice. That is how God commanded Israel to approach Him. This wasn’t optional cultural flavor. This was covenant obedience.
And these men did not suddenly become modern Western individualists after the Resurrection. They …Ավելին

Monday, August 18, 1913: Unsworn, Oral Statement of Leo M. Frank in the Fulton County Superior Court, Atlanta, Georgia
Now, with reference to those spots that are claimed to be blood that Mr. Barrett found, I don't claim they are not blood, they may have been, they are right close to the ladies' dressing room, and we have had accidents there, and by the way, in reference to those accidents, the accidents of which we have had records, are not the only accidents that have happened there; for instance, a person cuts a finger; that is an accident, we give first aid to the injured in the office, and we don't have any report on that, the only reports we have are of those accidents that incapacitates the health, where they demand the money for the time that they have lost due to the accident, and we will have our Employers' Liability Insurance Company to pay the employees, but where people just cut their fingers and they go back to work, we don't make any record of that, and we have people …Ավելին

February 16th - Saint of the Day: Saint Pamphilus and Companions (The Martyrs of Caesarea)
The Martyrs of Caesarea were not “religious fanatics.” They were a living snapshot of the early Church, and they refused to bow. Saint Pamphilus was a priest who built a library to protect the Word of God, shared Scripture like bread for the hungry, and still ended up in chains. He and his companions were imprisoned for a long time, tested in the slow grind of fear, and they stayed faithful anyway. Then comes the wild part. Five young Christians were questioned about where they were from, and they basically said, “Jerusalem.” Not the city on a map, but the Jerusalem above in Galatians 4:26. They claimed Heaven as home, even when it cost them everything. And after the executions, their bodies were left exposed, yet they were reported to remain untouched for days. The world tried to shame them. God honored them. This is what martyrdom really is. Not drama. Not hype. Just loyalty to Jesus when it …Ավելին

Hl. Pamphilus und Gefährten - Gedenktag katholisch: 16. Februar
* in Berytus - heute Beirut im Libanon
† 16. Februar 308 in Cäsarea in Israel
Ավելին

The poorly selected bishops are destabilising dioceses, writes SilereNonPossum.com. Appointments are made based on ideology or optics rather than solid canonical and pastoral competence. Whole Italian dioceses are reported to be in “a state of desperation”. And: “In some places, there are even dozens of priests ready to move elsewhere, just to escape dynamics that have become unliveable.” SilereNonPossum also comments on yesterday’s elevation of Sister Simona Brambilla as a new member of the Dicastery for Bishops. As prefect of the Dicastery for Religious, she is said to have an “authoritarian leadership style” characterised by game-playing and an anger-filled approach behind the public image.

Women assessing bishops? The results of this tokenism are plain for all to see.

Vatican City - In recent years, inside the Roman Curia, there has been a succession of appointments we would never have wanted to see. We are not talking about choices that are debatable on the level of sensitivities or ideological camps, but about profiles that are objectively unfit: people placed in decisive roles without the basic requirements to sustain them, without a stature consistent with the office, without that credibility which, in the Church, is not so much something to brag about as a condition for governing.
Governing authority: an unresolved knot
The knot becomes even clearer when people try to normalise the idea that governing authority works as it does in civil organisations, regulated by management criteria and vaguely “institutional” standards. Benedict XVI, in his catechesis on the
munus regendi, recalled a fundamental principle: ecclesial governance is born of a mandate and a form, not of a sociological investiture. The priest is called “to guide, with the …
