A 3 year old child had to be separated from her mother after a cornea replacement operation in her left eye. The Doctors said, if she continued to cry it would ruin the operation. But the separation made her cry a lot. While crying in her crib one night in the corner of the room she saw a pin point of light which got brighter and brighter. When Lonnie Tifferman was three years old, she underwent a cornea transplant. Alone in the hospital and crying for her mother, she saw a bright light and a beautiful woman appear beside her crib. The woman comforted her, told her a story about her little boy, and asked her to stop crying and sleep. The next day, Lonnie told the nurses what happened. A priest showed her statues in the hospital, and she immediately pointed to Our Lady of Fatima, saying, “That’s the lady!” At the time, Lonnie and her family were strict Protestants, not Catholics. The experience stayed with her for life.
