Cardinal Müller: FSSPX crossed a doctrinal “red line”. Cardinal Gerhard Müller condemned unauthorized episcopal consecrations by the Priestly Fraternity of St. Pius X (FSSPX) as crossing a red line “not only in discipline, but also in doctrine.” Speaking with Jan Bentz on October 21, Cardinal Müller referred the FSSPX to St. Robert Bellarmine and St. Thomas Aquinas. The Pope is the visible principle of Church unity, he insisted, adding: “The ordination of a bishop against the pope is a schism. This is no question.”

The devious actions in Rome are fairly transparent. The Vatican appears to have recruited more moderate Conciliar leaders like Müller, Barron, Burke and other prelates to first establish their “traditional-bona fides” among faithful Catholics by making surprisingly traditional statements, and then, a few days later, they come out with a strong anti-traditional statements like this nonsensical attack of Muller’s on the SSPX. If someone like Cupich, Tobin, or Roach had made such a statement it would be uniformly ignored by faithful Catholics. But when a cleric who has won them over with early “traditional-sounding” messages they become far more convincing. Make no mistake about it, Satan is as clever as a fox and he is the one leading the spiritual-confused Conciliarists in Rome.

Bishop Andrzej Jeż has announced that he will appeal the verdict. Today, October 29, a court in Tarnów convicted Bishop Jeż, 63, of failing to promptly report allegations of child homosexual abuse involving two priests in his diocese. It is the first conviction of a serving Catholic bishop in Poland for such an offense. The court sentenced Bishop Jeż to two years of restricted liberty, requiring him to surrender 25% of his monthly salary to a foundation supporting abused children. He must also pay 20,000 złoty into a victims' assistance fund. The case concerns allegations against two priests, Stanisław P. and Tomasz K. One priest was implicated in the abuse of at least 95 boys between 1987 and 2008.
