Lombardy's Bishops on Their Phones: All ten bishops of Lombardy gathered from July 5–10 at the Hermitage of Montecastello in Tignale del Garda for their annual Spiritual Exercises, led by Bishop Massimiliano Palinuro, Apostolic Administrator of Istanbul. They met "for prayer, reflection, and fraternity." The photo showing the bishops all looking down at their phones could be reading the Breviary.

Jesus Isn't One Savior Among Many The gospel reading emphasizes the importance of acknowledging Jesus as the Christ, the Son of the living God, as the foundation of the Church. This belief is crucial for salvation, as Jesus is the only means of salvation, not just one among many. The Church, established by Jesus, is the means through which this saving work continues, and its mission is to spread the truth and love of Jesus to all. Fr. God Bless you Father. Please take a moment to pray for all the unborn babies in danger of abortion. As you know the condemnation of abortion is the latest, most recent infallible dogma of the Catholic Church. This was done by Evangelium Vitae in 1995 with the same authority as all the Marian dogmas and the founding of the Catholic Church by Christ. JMJ
Many bishops in the USA (and elsewhere) forbid Catholics from attending Mass in chapels belonging to the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X, yet they welcome schismatics and homosexuals. Three examples: Arlington Bishop: FSSPX Sacraments Are "Invalid" Bishop Michael Burbidge of Arlington, Virginia, instructed Catholics to “avoid participating in the activities of the FSSPX.” In a letter dated 8 July, he wrote that "any celebrations of the sacraments of confession and matrimony by the FSSPX are invalid, and the administration of other sacraments is illicit". In September 2025, Bishop Burbidge said that his meeting with the Greek Orthodox Patriarch Bartholomew was “incredible,” and marked a “historic moment of Christian unity”. Covington Bishop: FSSPX Mass Is "Abuse of Eucharist" Bishop John Iffert of Covington, Kentucky, said in a recent statement that the sacraments from the FSSPX are “illicit”: “The Masses these priests celebrate are an abuse of the Eucharist, insofar as they make the …მეტი
Doesn't Rome recognize the confessions and marriages of the schismatic Orthodox as valid? So if the SSPX is in schism, it should be given the same favor.
Mario Nawfal @MarioNawfal Market Analyst Tom Luongo says Trump isn't fighting Iran to control the Strait of Hormuz; he's using the Strait to break Europe's ability to finance the Ukraine war. Most people see Iran and Ukraine as two separate conflicts, but Tom thinks they're the same war being fought on different fronts. His argument is that oil is the collateral that underpins the modern economy. The more expensive and uncertain energy becomes, the harder it is for European governments to borrow cheaply, keep their industries competitive, and continue funding Ukraine at the current pace. That's why he thinks the Strait of Hormuz matters so much, because whoever controls the world's most important energy chokepoint also influences the financial foundations that wars are fought on. Trump can't simply announce the end of the Ukraine war, even if he wants to, because too many powerful interests are invested in keeping the conflict going. So instead of attacking the war directly, Tom believes …მეტი
The Roman Rite Returns to Another Monastery: Today, twelve Benedictine monks from Le Barroux officially established a new monastic community at Notre-Dame de Bellefontaine Abbey in western France. Founded in the early 12th century, the abbey was home to Trappist monks from 1816 until their departure in 2025. Fr. Raphaël, the new prior, paid tribute to the departing community: "The monastery is in very good condition. The brothers cared for it until the very end, always hoping they could remain." And: "Our liturgy will be celebrated in Latin and Gregorian chant. There will be those who like it and those who do not. Each person must discern for himself."
A Secret Beneath Lautaro Martínez's Socks: Argentine striker Lautaro Martínez wears an image of Our Lady of Luján, Argentina's patron saint, inside his shin guards. The devotion was revealed after Argentina's dramatic 3–2 win over Egypt at the World Cup, when TV cameras caught the image during a post-match interview. FIFA prohibit religious messages on players' kit.

Rev. Alfons Gea, a Catalan priest and cousin of Cardinal Cristóbal López Romero, has appeared to confirm the sexual nature of allegations against the 74-year-old Archbishop of Rabat, Morocco. Cardinal López, a Spanish-born Salesian, is a prominent supporter of Pope Francis’s agenda, was appointed Archbishop of Rabat in 2017 and a cardinal in 2019. On Monday, he announced that he would temporarily withdraw from public celebrations and pastoral ministry while the Vatican conducts a preliminary investigation into allegations involving at least five adult women. He has admitted to “inappropriate behaviour” but denies committing sexual assault, violence, or harassment. ElPaís.com has described the allegations as sexual abuse, rather than merely inappropriate hugs or gestures. Writing for Exaudi.org, Rev. Gea said his cousin had already begun privately accepting the possible consequences: “The image of a papabile, a figure who enjoyed such widespread affection, has come crashing down." And: …მეტი
Leo XIV Wants Church with Open Doors and for "Everyone": Today, Pope Leo XIV held a lunch for 200 people in need from the Diocese of Rome in the Gardens of Castel Gandolfo. He said: "I've not prepared a speech, because, I am hungry - hungry for justice, for authentic charity, for a Church that knows how to open its doors, welcome people, and care for everyone." The guests enjoyed a meal featuring pasta all'amatriciana, roast veal, other Italian specialities and strawberries with whipped cream for dessert.
Speaking off-the-cuff at lunch with 200 poor people from the Diocese of Rome, and welcoming them to the Pontifical gardens of Castel Gandolfo, Pope Leo XIV says: “I didn’t prepare a speech because I am hungry. I’m hungry for justice, I’m hungry for authentic charity, I’m hungry for a Church that knows how to opens its doors, welcomes and looks after everyone.”
If being a Catholic is the Way one lives one's life rather than merely an adjective then the title for this article makes no rational sense. Otherwise, we fall into the trap of believing all the other people who " identify" with logical absurdities.
Pope Leo XIV continues Francis’ path towards homosexuals, Fr. Bryan Massingale SJ, a self-described homosexual and theology professor at Jesuit-run Fordham University in New York City, told Ny1.com on June 25: “There was a fear after Francis died that a future pope would come in and would undo the welcoming overtures and advances that had taken place under Francis' papacy.” However: “One of the first things Pope Leo did was he said, ‘No, I have no intention of going backwards when it comes to the LGBTQ community,” the Jesuit added.
Fr. Bryan Massingale SJ, openly homosexual and theology professor at Fordham University, said he is encouraged that Pope Leo XIV appears committed to continuing the more welcoming approach toward LGBTQ people that he associates with Pope Francis.
Bishop Joseph Williams of Camden, New Jersey, has suppressed the Mass in the Roman rite at St. Gianna Beretta Molla Parish in Northfield. The final Roman Mass was celebrated on June 28. The excuse used to end the Mass was the retirement of Father Anthony J. Manuppella. The priest who has taken over as an administrator knows how to say the Roman rite, but lacks permission to celebrate. Instead, he offers a Sunday noon Novus Ordo in Latin, celebrated ad orientem. According to parishioners and blog posts, Bishop Williams did not renew the permission required for the Mass to continue. Below is an English user comment from a parishioner published on Wdtprs.com: "The Bishop has rejected all pleas for mercy and charity from our retiring pastor, our dedicated altar servers, and congregation to allow our Traditional Latin Mass to continue". Over 1,500 Polish settlements in Volhynia were completely destroyed. Between 1943 and 1946, Ukrainian nationalists murdered up to approximately 100,000 Poles in Volhynia, Eastern Lesser Poland, and the Lublin region. They perished in nearly 4,000 localities. To this day, the majority of the victims have not received exhumation, individual commemoration, or a Christian burial. Their remains still lie in unmarked graves, killing pits, forests, fields, and the sites of villages that no longer exist. Historian Dr. Leon Popek described the tragedy of the Polish inhabitants of Volhynia and Eastern Lesser Poland—as well as the dramatic struggle to preserve the memory of the victims—in an article titled "Memory of Volhynia and Eastern Lesser Poland," published in *Biuletyn IPN* (IPN Bulletin) No. 4/2017. The researcher not only highlighted the scale of the genocide perpetrated by the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists and the Ukrainian Insurgent Army but also outlined the fate of the locations …მეტი
It is all terrifying—unimaginable that it could truly happen—yet at the same time too contemporary, too fresh. One cannot show children impaled on fence pickets, people sawed in half, limbs hacked off, bodies crushed in the gears of horse mills, the bellies of pregnant women ripped open, or people burned alive. It is impossible, for no viewer—no normal human being—could bear the sight.
In the historic centre of Turin, Italy, stands the Church of San Francesco d'Assisi. In the sixteenth century, the church temporarily safeguarded the Shroud of Turin, after its transfer from Chambéry. Is is an active church in the Archdiocese of Turin, with regular Masses and the Blessed Sacrament reserved. Since spring 2020, however, the church has also served as the regular place of worship for the Evangelical Lutheran Community of Turin. The Lutheran congregation is part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Italy (CELI) and has administrative offices elsewhere in the city, but no church of its own. This arrangement is permanent. During the installation of Pastor Tobias Brendel in September 2022, which took place in the Catholic church, a Catholic deacon symbolically presented the new pastor with a set of keys. The Lutheran community said that this recognised the relationship of trust that had developed since the shared use of the church began in 2020. This appears to have been …მეტი

Homosexual Couple Sues Surrogate for Refusing to Abort Their Son: A Canadian homosexual male couple is suing the surrogate mother who carried "their" son after she refused their 2024 request to abort him at 22 weeks because of a cleft lip. Filed in Ontario Superior Court in May 2026, the lawsuit seeks about $600,000, alleging the surrogate withheld medical information, breached confidentiality, and caused emotional distress. She denies the allegations, saying the dispute began after she refused the abortion request and adding, "I just feel used... They didn't get the perfect child they wanted, and they threw me away."
Gay Canadian Couple Sues Surrogate Mother For Refusing To Abort Baby, Causing ‘Emotional Distress’
The mother denies allegations that she did not inform the plaintiffs about the health of the baby, who had a minor birth defect that they claimed put the child at risk while causing them emotional distress.
