Auxiliary Bishop Rob Mutsaerts of 's-Hertogenbosch wrote on August 13 an open letter to Leo XIV. Main phrases. - Does the synodal process actually help bring souls closer to Christ and to eternal salvation? […] What has all this actually yielded? Not: how many meetings were organized? Not: how many reports were written? Not: how many people participated? But: has faith become stronger? Has Christ been proclaimed more clearly? - When one asks such questions, it is impossible to consider the Synod a success. - What once began as a 2021–2024 synod threatens to become a permanent form of governance. - The classical synod was a means. In contemporary synodal discourse, synodality threatens to become an end in itself. - The Church is not a conversation but a received reality. For the Church does not begin with our dialogue. It begins with Christ. - Christ did not set up a discussion group. He called apostles. He gave them authority. He sent them out to proclaim, baptize, and teach. - Truth is …Ibindi
The Archdiocese of Utrecht has rejected as false rumours that Cardinal Willem Eijk, 73, could have asked Pope Leo XIV during an audience on Monday to accept his early resignation as Archbishop. “These reports are false. He has not offered his resignation,” the archdiocese told the Dutch newspaper Katholiek Nieuwsblad on Wednesday. An archdiocesan spokesman added that there was no basis for such speculation. The audience attracted attention because Eijk has experienced health problems in recent months and didn't attend the consistories in January and June. The archdiocese also provided an update on the cardinal’s health. “It is known that Cardinal Eijk struggled with health problems last winter,” the spokesman said. His recovery had taken longer than initially hoped, but was now progressing well. According to the archdiocese, Eijk is expected to resume his duties fully on September 1. #newsKxqihmxlwe
Not Disturbing the Political Powers Behind France’s Euthanasia Law? Bishop Emeritus Dominique Rey told TribuneChrétienne.com of his one regret about Leo XIV’s September 25–28 visit to France: the Pope’s “very busy program” leaves no time to visit people at the end of life or palliative care units. Yet Leo XIV’s schedule includes several other meetings, including one with survivors of clergy sexual abuse. Meanwhile, France is close to legalizing euthanasia.

Revelation 11:19a; 12:1-6a, 10ab The new Ark of the Covenant is Mary. And each time we receive Communion, we are an ark, the temple of the Holy Spirit and the tabernacle. 1 Corinthians 15:20-27a The Lord is life, and life continues in the Lord. Luke 1:39-56 Mary is joyful: “The Mighty One has done great things for me.” It’s the joy of God’s love revealed in the heart and being of Mary. Biblical texts: NAB-RE Normand Thomas.
Bishop Vicente de Paula Ferreira, 55, of Livramento de Nossa Senhora in Bahia, Brazil, criticized the consecration of dioceses to St. Michael the Archangel. In an August 8 social-media post, Bishop Ferreira wrote: “Are there theological justifications for consecration to St. Michael? One consecrates oneself to God the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Isn’t the devil that is being fought rather imaginary? The greater exorcism should be of homophobia, femicide, racism, crimes against Indigenous peoples — of this legion of evils.” Ferreira’s comments came as dioceses across Brazil have been participating in “The Great Reconquest,” an initiative promoted by the Hesed Institute centered on devotion and consecration to St. Michael. According to ACI Digital, 34 Brazilian dioceses had been consecrated to St. Michael by August 11. #newsJjefxvmkpq
When a 'bishop' humiliates the Archangel Defender of God's Honor and is a supporter of the sin of Sodom, it means he is on the side of the fallen angels.
What the Hell Happened to Tucker Carlson? Maybe nothing happened to him. Maybe the fraud finally became impossible to ignore. By Mars Lewis August 14, 2026 Some men abandon a cause. Others remain until their presence itself proves they never believed it. That is my position on Tucker Carlson. For years conservatives watched him and believed they were seeing conviction. They were watching one of the most accomplished political performers of the era. At Fox the apparatus was complete. Platform, money, legal protection, production, distribution, and a prime-time hour that converted anger into ratings and ratings into influence. He operated as the quiet destroyer of liberal pretension. The schoolboy squint. The measured voice that still left opponents in fragments. Millions trusted him because he said what the rest of television would not say. Censorship. Institutional corruption. The intelligence services. The open disdain the governing class directed at ordinary Americans. He was frequently …Ibindi
“Globalism has already failed to meet the needs of the people. It serves only the financial elite,” Marian Eleganti, Auxiliary Bishop Emeritus of Chur, told LaNuovaBq on August 13. On Muslim immigration, he said: “Personally, I am convinced that Islam cannot be integrated into our political systems shaped by Christianity. There is no apolitical Islam, consisting purely of an interior religious life. It is a system of domination. The more convinced its followers are of this, the less integrable it is. The result is parallel societies.” He also criticized the Church’s approach to unlimited immigration: “The Catholic Church should not adopt an idealistic approach… [that] ignores the very real social problems associated with unlimited immigration.”
Today, Bishop Emeritus Christopher Saunders, 76, of Broome was convicted of 13 homosexual offences against two young Indigenous men in Western Australia. A jury in the District Court of Western Australia found Saunders guilty of 12 counts of indecent assault and one count of sexual penetration without consent. The jury acquitted him on six other charges. The offences for which Saunders was convicted occurred between 2008 and 2019, while he was serving as Bishop of Broome. Saunders was also convicted of offences against a second man, including sexual penetration without consent. The jury deliberated for approximately seven hours before returning the verdicts. Earlier in the trial, the judge instructed the jury that it was not necessary to return verdicts on seven charges and to disregard them because there was insufficient evidence to convict. Saunders pleaded not guilty to the charges and denied the allegations. He did not give evidence during the trial. He is due to face a sentencing …Ibindi

The Trump administration is crafting a new nuclear strategy aimed at giving the president more “credible” options to use short-range tactical nuclear weapons in a regional conflict with Russia or China, NBC reports. The doctrine is being shaped by Pentagon policy chief Elbridge Colby, a long-time advocate of expanding the role of tactical nuclear weapons. His argument is that smaller, lower-yield warheads could be used against battlefield forces and military targets rather than cities. That distinction sounds reassuring until you get to the obvious problem: once nuclear weapons are treated as usable battlefield tools, the line separating conventional war from nuclear war gets much thinner. Critics warn that broadening their role could normalize nuclear weapons use and lower the threshold for escalation. China has accused Washington of "normalizing" nuclear use on the battlefield, warning that the US push for tactical nuclear weapons completely underestimates the risk of retaliation …Ibindi
Oh! So much to say about this beast. So many things I warned about. They either happened, was confirmed by their own forked tongues or in the making now. But I will waste my time because they still defend the beast with the forked tongue. Most of us already know he is a beast with a forked tongue. The rest will have their little bubble burst in their face soon enough.
Question: Based on all going issues since Benedict XVI resigned from ministerium and not from munus, how one can consider Bergoglio and Prevost were/are true popes? Canon 332 §2 of the 1983 Code states plainly: Si contingat ut Romanus Pontifex muneri suo renuntiet, ad validitatem requiritur ut renuntiatio libere fiat et rite manifestetur, non vero ut a quopiam acceptetur. "If it happens that the Roman Pontiff resigns his munus, it is required for validity that the resignation be freely made and properly manifested, but it is not necessary that it be accepted by anyone." The canon uses munus — not ministerium, not officium, not any other term. Munus in the canonical tradition carries the weight of the office itself: the ontological reality, the gift-and-burden of the Petrine charge, not merely its active exercise. On February 11, 2013, Benedict XVI declared in Latin: ...declaro me ministerio Episcopi Romae, Successoris Sancti Petri, mihi per manus Cardinalium die 19 aprilis MMV …Ibindi
Leo XIV Promoted This Hopping, Dancing Bishop in Mexico: In January 2026, Pope Leo XIV appointed Monsignor Trinidad Antonio Márquez Guerrero, 60, as auxiliary bishop of San Juan de los Lagos, Mexico. He was consecrated a bishop on May 8. On Sunday, July 19, he celebrated a Eucharist during the diocesan Youth Day in the bullring in Yahualica, attended by some 1,300 young people. Still wearing his mitre and liturgical vestments, he started hopping and dancing around like an overexcited young person.
