Vatican Reviews Bishop Martin’s Decisions on Liturgy in Charlotte

The Vatican’s Dicastery for Divine Worship has acknowledged receipt of a “hierarchical recourse” filed against the apparent refusal of Bishop Michael Martin of Charlotte, North Carolina, to respond to requests concerning liturgical matters.
The Vatican letter, dated February 16 and signed by Fr. Pierre Paul, confirms that the case has been assigned protocol number 369/25 and will be examined according to the applicable procedures.
However, in the Vatican, such procedural formalities often lead nowhere; even the acceptance of an appeal does not guarantee any intervention or substantive action.
Bishop Martin has aggressively curtailed Catholic liturgical practices in the Diocese of Charlotte.

Bishop Fellay: Excommunication Highly Probable

Bishop Bernard Fellay has warned members of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X (FSSPX) that they could face excommunication after the episcopal consecrations planned for July 1.
He made these remarks during a sermon at a confirmation on April 19 in St. Marys, Kansas, USA, as reported by AdVaticanum.com.
Monsignor Fellay called it “enormously probable” that the FSSPX would be declared excommunicated and schismatic. He repeated: “There is a very high probability.”
And: “They are so to say forcing themselves to do it. But whatever, God can do miracles. It’s not the end.”

It’s not the German bishops to be excommunicated for blessings same-sex couples or James Martin for pushing homosexual bridges but possibly the FSSPX. Something is terribly wrong here.

Leo XIV on Anglican Dialogue: Overcoming Differences, No Matter How Intractable They Seem

Meeting for the first time with Anglican Dame Sarah Mullally, who holds the title Archbishop of Canterbury, Leo XIV encourages Catholics and Anglicans to proclaim Christ together.
They prayed together in the Urban VIII Chapel in the Apostolic Palace.
Leo XIV spoke about a fake archbishop who was an Anglican layman, and a pope who was far from saintly.
“When archbishop Michael Ramsey and Saint Pope Paul VI announced the first theological dialogue between Anglicans and Catholics [in 1966], they spoke of seeking the ‘restoration of complete communion in faith and sacramental life’. Certainly this ecumenical journey has been complex. While much progress has been made on some historically divisive issues, new problems have arisen in recent decades, rendering the pathway to full communion more difficult to discern.
I know that the Anglican Communion is also facing many of these same questions at this time.
Nevertheless, we must not allow these continuing challenges to prevent us from using …Engeta

Francis to Male Caregiver in Concubinage: “Do They Give You Communion?”

“Pope Francis was like a second father to me, and I still miss him deeply,” said his nurse, Massimiliano Strappetti, 56, in an interview with Corriere.it on April 19.
Francis hated hospital stays and joked whenever he had to go to Gemelli Hospital: “You’ll see—the cardinals are preparing the conclave now.”
“Every morning when he woke up, he would ask me, ‘Hello, who died today?’ That was just how he was,” Strappetti recalled.
One day, Strappetti told Francis that he was divorced and living with another woman. The pope replied: “And what’s the problem?”
He then asked: “Do they let you receive Communion? If not, tell me the names of those priests who refuse - I’ll go speak to them myself!”
For Strappetti, Francis was a “surprising” pope.

The primacy promised

Everyone is familiar with the beautiful text of Matthew 16, in which Our Lord Jesus Christ promised to build His Church upon St Peter, as upon a rock:
Simon Peter answered and said: Thou art Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answering, said to him: Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-Jona: because flesh and blood hath not revealed it to thee, but my Father who is in heaven.
And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. And I will give to thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven.

"Many European Abbeys Will Disappear" - Norbertine Abbot General

Many European abbeys will disappear in the near future, Abbot Jos Wouters of the Norbertine monastic order, told ND.nl on 22 April. He is the abbot general of 38 abbeys worldwide.
The interview was prompted by reporting on conditions in Berne Abbey, Netherlands, where there is said to have been a years-long culture of fear and power struggles.
Abbot Wouters notes that monasteries are receiving fewer and fewer vocations.
According to him, interested people are increasingly psychologically vulnerable individuals: "Out of a survival instinct, abbeys accept such people, even though they are completely unsuitable."
Abbot Wouters believes that his order is incapable of properly training individuals with "baggage".
He warns that such people compensate for their "inner weakness" by becoming overly bossy.
"Religion then functions like an exoskeleton, as with a lobster, which has no skeleton inside: it is hard on the outside to hide the weakness within."

This also happens in the Industrial workforce. With an inexperienced person placed into a position of power and authority, power quickly goes to his head and leadership skills are lost.
A "How to Become a Good Supervisor" seminar focuses on transitioning from individual contributor to leader by mastering communication, conflict resolution, and performance management. Key topics include active listening, setting clear expectations, delivering constructive feedback, and building team trust. These seminars, often available via SkillPath, AMA, or online modules, emphasize practical tools to boost team morale and productivity.

Biblical Teaching on the Use of Colorful and Harsh Language

Biblical Teaching on the Use of Colorful and Harsh Language - Community in Mission

In the Sermon on the Mount, the Lord warns of using uncivil and/or hateful words such as “Raqa” and “fool.” And yet the same Lord Jesus often used very strong language toward some of His opponents, sometimes calling them names such as vipers and hypocrites.
We live in a world that often insists on the use of gentle language and euphemisms. While doing so is not a bad thing, we also tend to manifest a kind of thin-skinned quality and a political correctness that is too fussy about many things, often taking personally what is not meant personally.
What is the overall teaching of Scripture when it comes to this sort of colorful language? Are there some limits and ground rules? Let’s take a look.
The word “civility” dates to the mid-16th century and has an older meaning that referred to one who possessed the quality of having been schooled in the humanities. In academic settings, debate (at least historically) was governed by a tendency to be nuanced, careful, cautious, formal, and …

Yesterday evening it was that the last great public repast of our Lord and his friends took place in the house of Simon the Leper, at Bethania,
and Mary Magdalen for the last time anointed the feet of Jesus with precious ointment. Judas was scandalised upon this occasion, and hastened forthwith to Jerusalem again to conspire with the high-priests for the betrayal of Jesus into their hands. After the repast, Jesus returned to the house of Lazarus, and some of the Apostles went to the inn situated beyond Bethania. "The disciples had already asked Jesus where he would eat the Pasch. To-day, before dawn, our Lord sent for Peter, James, and John, spoke to them at some length concerning all they had to prepare and order at Jerusalem, and told them that when ascending Mount Sion, they would meet the man carrying a pitcher of water. They were already well acquainted with this man, for at the last Pasch, at Bethania, it had been he who prepared the meal for Jesus, and this is why St. Matthew says: a certain man. They were to follow him home, and say to him: the Master saith, My time is near at hand, with thee I make the Pasch with my disciples (Matt. 26:18). They were than to be shown the supper-room, and make all necessary preparations."

"MEDITATION II. ~ The Supper-Room.
On the southern side of Mount Sion, not far from the ruined Castle of David, and the market held on the ascent leading to that Castle, there stood, towards the east, an ancient and solid building, between rows of thick trees, in the midst of a spacious court surrounded by strong walls. To the right and left of the entrance, other buildings were to be seen adjoining the wall, particularly to the right, where stood the dwelling of the major-domo, and close to it the house in which the Blessed Virgin and the holy women spent most of their time after the death of Jesus. The supper-room, which was originally larger, had formerly been inhabited by David’s brave captains, who had there learned the use of arms."

New Orwellian tech mandates for cars will surveil, report drivers - LifeSite

Mon Apr 27, 2026 - 6:09 pm EDT
(
LifeSiteNews) — Every new passenger vehicle in the U.S. will soon be required by law to contain dystopian technology that places drivers and occupants under constant surveillance, creating an unprecedented level of intrusion into private lives while threatening citizens’ Fourth Amendment rights.
Big Brother will be closely watching you every time you enter your vehicle in ways undreamed of until now. A national nightmare is on the near horizon.
In 2021, Congress put in motion new federal requirements putatively aimed solely at reducing drunk driving accidents beginning in 2027. But they could open the door to far darker applications impacting every driver and passenger on the highway, in their own neighborhoods, or even their driveways.
A chilling video shared on X lists the myriad ways that the new requirements could be used to severely — and dangerously — limit constitutionally-guaranteed freedoms.
