Fr. Robert Prevost (Leo XIV) has participated in a Pachamama “Mother Earth” ritual while attending an Augustinian theological symposium in 1995, reports LifeSiteNews.com (March 18). The scandal was uncovered by Fr. Charles Murr. Three Augustinian priests have confirmed to him that Robert Prevost is clearly visible among the kneeling participants in the photo. None of the three were present at the 1995 ritual itself. They recognized their confrere from the published image. The photo appeared in the proceedings of the “Lectura de San Agustín desde América Latina” (São Paulo, January 23-28, 1995), published as the book Ecoteología: Una Perspectiva desde San Agustín (México, 1996). The official caption beneath the photo of kneeling participants reads: “Celebration of the Rite of Pachamama (Mother Earth), which is an agricultural rite offered by the cultures of the South-Andean region in Peru and Bolivia.” More Photos From Same Symposium The same volume includes a large group photograph …Doliwat
US vs Russian Air Defense Systems More truths confirmed and revealed. For years, the world has seen Russian air defense systems at work. However, since the start of the Iran War, the US's air defense systems, like the Patriot, have been tested repeatedly by Iranian missiles, with some analysts even questioning their so-called 'superiority' over their Russian rivals. US vs Russian Air Defense Systems Well below 5% --Defeating Patriots ---
Comparing two defense systems does not consider other variables. Availability of ammunition (interceptors) can become a problem. The missiles attacking one defense system may be superior to the missiles attacking the other defense system. A big issue is electronic warfare. A new and effective weapon may degrade due to the opponent's electronic countermeasures. In Ukraine, weapon effectiveness dropped after only about two weeks on average. Then, changes made the weapon more effective again. Rinse and repeat. Technology changes quickly on battlefields.
Archbishop Ronald Hicks Marks First St. Patrick’s Day in New York City, Urges Welcome for Immigrants currentsnews The 265th St. Patrick's Day Parade made its way up 5th Avenue as tens of thousands watched on. Councils, clans and counties marched for St. Patrick after they prayed like him. Archbishop Ronald Hicks kicked off the day by the celebrating his first St. Patrick's Day mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral, giving thanks to the Irish immigrants who built New York City and beyond. And welcoming new waves of immigrants who are paving their own way.
How the Irish built Catholic America ewtnnews.com/world/us/how-the-irish-built- … The history of Catholic America is, in many ways, an Irish story, with immigrant congregations and their descendants putting their stamp on many churches across the country. “They were disproportionately represented among the clergy, and especially over-represented among the episcopacy,” Shannon told CNA. “By the mid-nineteenth century, Irish clergy had taken the lead in church building to serve the immigrant populations of the industrial cities of the East Coast and the Midwest.” “Except for churches founded explicitly by non-Irish groups seeking to maintain their distinct ethnic traditions, every church in the immigrant city was a little Irish,” he continued. “The great cathedrals of these cities—the Basilica of the Assumption in Baltimore, the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul in Philadelphia, and of course, St. Patrick’s Cathedral in New York City—were most certainly Irish-built.” …Doliwat
VANCE addresses Joe Kent’s resignation: “Whether you’re the gardener at Mar-A-Lago or whether you’re the Secretary of State, the president cares about what you think about an issue….With that said, when the president of the United States makes a decision, it’s your job to make that decision as effective and successful as possible.”
We have just learned about another reason why PM Marc Carney's Liberal government has little respect for the working Canadian. The government has decided to appeal the Emergencies Act Ruling to the Supreme Court. Yes, the government wants the higher court to rule that no rights were violated when the former PM Justin Trudeau used the Emergencies Act in 2022 to forcibly bring an end the Truckers' Freedom Convoy. Remember the largely peaceful protest, that made international news? It was about getting rid of vaccine mandates and lockdowns. The government didn't like that. Even though we now know that the experimental was not "safe and effective" and as claimed by public health authorities and the governemnt. The government was wrong about the shot. In fact, the so called "vaccine" has harmed many Canadians and some have died as a result. No Matter. The Liberals insists on pushing the lie that they were right in declaring martial law against the truckers. This appeal comes after the …
Leo XIV appointed today two auxiliary bishops in the Archdiocese of Caracas, Venezuela. Monsignor José Manuel León (born 1966 in Barquisimeto) is a Passionist Father, was ordained to the priesthood on 19 March 1994 and is currently a parish priest. Pictured Monsignor José Dionisio Gómez Gouveia (born 1966 in La Guaira) is a diocesan priest of Caracas. He has served in multiple parishes, as a prison chaplain, and in seminary formation. "Beyond Traditions and Rites" Monsignor León's current parish Preciosísima Sangre is in eastern Caracas, near Petare and a slum area. His homilies are published on ParroquiaPreciosisimaSangre.wordpress.com. He uses a Francis-style pastoral tone with the buzzwords mercy, welcome, and fraternity. In a reflection from 8 July 2023, he wrote that Jesus moved beyond a religion sustained “only in traditions,” criticizes a faith reduced to rites, and says it is easy to “wash hands” while failing to extend them “for fraternal embrace.” He also attacks attachment …Doliwat

Police in Lumberton, Texas, called in FBI assistance to investigate an incident in which a woman drove a pickup truck through the foyer and into the sanctuary of a Catholic church.
The Scottish Parliament rejected an assisted suicide bill by 69 votes to 57 on 17 March. The proposal would have allowed “terminally ill” adults to kill themselves. Claims that the bill was “the most safeguarded in the world” were refuted in the emotional and two-year long debate. MSPs were given a free vote, not along party lines. Three MSPs changed their vote from supporting the bill earlier to opposing it. The bill had already passed an earlier stage in 2025, but lost support after scrutiny and amendments. Concerns raised by opponents included pressure or coercion on vulnerable people and the doctor–patient relationship. The opposition included several medical bodies like psychiatrists and pharmacists as well as disability organisations. The vote was not the first but another failed attempt to legalise assisted dying in Scotland. Campaigners will likely bring forward new bills, supported by the state television BBC. #newsYrpzmnuvzv
