Leo XIV-appointed Bishop Beat Grögli of St Gallen, Switzerland, knows about the transvestite show organised by the city chaplaincy. Ann-Katrin Gässlein, the chaplaincy’s pastoral worker for Culture and Education, told CatholicHerald.co.uk that the bishop “has been informed about the event in the spirit of transparent communication”. Tomorrow’s transvestite event has been in preparation for “several months.” It was “deliberately conceived as the kickoff for the ‘Deep Drag’ format.” Gässlein claimed that “the art form of drag serves as a medium and a catalyst for conversation, not as a matter of faith.”
Bishop Strickland rejects yesterday's Vatican document marking 60 years of Nostra Aetate. Bishop Emeritus Joseph Strickland from Tyler, Texas, wrote on X.com on September 16 that the new Vatican document - approved by Leo XIV - “must be rejected and repudiated by all who hold Jesus Christ and His Church as the only way to the Father.” He refers to §54 on ‘The Path of Hope’: “The defensive entrenchment in one’s own position and the view that proselytism is the only way to engage with the other no longer make sense in a world that increasingly resembles an interconnected and constantly evolving global village.” Strickland counters: “Truth is not constantly evolving, Truth is Jesus Christ present with us in the world and His Church is the vehicle for our salvation.” #newsZzmwnhglqh

Leo XIV promotes bishop who opposed Communion-ban for Biden. And: “I believe in Martin Luther King”. Leo XIV appointed Bishop Brendan John Cahill, 62, as the new bishop of Joliet, Illinois, on September 17. He has been bishop of the Diocese of Victoria, Texas, since 2015. In May 2021, Cahill joined 67 other U.S. bishops in urging USCCB president Archbishop José Gomez to halt discussion on “Eucharistic worthiness.” This was about denying abortion politicians such as President Joe Biden Holy Communion. The letter's effort failed outwardly as the bishops proceeded with the debate. But the national confrontation over Communion for pro-abortion politicians never materialized. Bishops on the other side of the dispute, including Archbishops Samuel Aquila and Salvatore Cordileone, publicly criticized the letter. In November 2025, Bishop Cahill told NcReporter that he is “convicted of nonviolence”: “I believe in Martin Luther King.” Similarities with Protestants Discussing ecumenism in 2023, …Okuningi

The FBI surveilled Martin Luther King Jr. for years and secretly recorded him, including through hotel-room bugs and wiretaps. FBI documents claimed that the surveillance captured extramarital affairs and sexual gatherings.

Question: Based on all going issues since Benedict XVI resigned from ministerium and not from munus, how one can consider Bergoglio and Prevost were/are true popes? Canon 332 §2 of the 1983 Code states plainly: Si contingat ut Romanus Pontifex muneri suo renuntiet, ad validitatem requiritur ut renuntiatio libere fiat et rite manifestetur, non vero ut a quopiam acceptetur. "If it happens that the Roman Pontiff resigns his munus, it is required for validity that the resignation be freely made and properly manifested, but it is not necessary that it be accepted by anyone." The canon uses munus — not ministerium, not officium, not any other term. Munus in the canonical tradition carries the weight of the office itself: the ontological reality, the gift-and-burden of the Petrine charge, not merely its active exercise. On February 11, 2013, Benedict XVI declared in Latin: ...declaro me ministerio Episcopi Romae, Successoris Sancti Petri, mihi per manus Cardinalium die 19 aprilis MMV …Okuningi

A mosque dispute is escalating in Mestre, on the Venetian mainland. A Muslim association linked to the local Bangladeshi community bought a former sawmill for €1.5 million to build an Islamic centre. However, the site would require a municipal change of use. Venice Mayor Simone Venturini says the conditions for approval are not currently met, citing planning and integration concerns. Association president Prince Howlader threatened a strike in late August. He claimed Bangladeshi workers could disrupt tourism, hotels and restaurants. However, workers and unions showed limited support, and the protest was put on hold for talks.

VIRGINIA BISHOP URGES CATHOLICS TO OPPOSE AMENDMENTS ON MARRIAGE AND ABORTION | SG News Catholic Bishop Michael F. Burbidge of Arlington has taken an unusually direct step ahead of Virginia’s November election, urging Catholics across his diocese to oppose two proposed constitutional amendments involving abortion and marriage. In a letter communicated across the Diocese of Arlington’s 70 parishes, which serve more than 430,000 Catholics in Northern Virginia, Bishop Burbidge described the proposals as “two dangerous ballot initiatives.” The first, Ballot Question 1, is the Virginia Right to Reproductive Freedom Amendment. The proposed constitutional amendment would establish a fundamental right to make decisions concerning pregnancy, including abortion, contraception, miscarriage management and fertility care. It would allow Virginia to regulate abortion during the third trimester, but would prohibit the state from banning an abortion when, in a physician’s professional judgment, it is …Okuningi
Law Enforcement Today A CATHOLIC FAMILY SAYS THEY LOST CUSTODY OF THEIR DAUGHTER after refusing to affirm her new gender identity, and now they are fighting the state over testosterone, religious access and whether they can even SEE THEIR OWN CHILD. Joseph and Arlene Kutzko say a school counselor began socially transitioning their then-15-year-old daughter without their knowledge. The parents refused to use a male name and pronouns because of their Catholic beliefs. Massachusetts DCF eventually took custody amid a larger dispute that also involved allegations against the father, which the family says were later found unfounded. The Kutzkos and their attorneys say their daughter was then placed in a boys' residential setting, denied regular Sunday Mass and given other medications while the state sought approval for testosterone. A judge has, for now, blocked the high-dose testosterone treatment. Juvenile records are confidential, so the state has not publicly answered every allegation. …Okuningi
The carnival musician who almost married but then became a monk is now heading Heiligenkreuz. The 84 voting monks of the "conservative" Cistercian abbey of Heiligenkreuz near Vienna elected Fr Simeon Wester, 61, as their new superior today. He will lead the community for the next three years without becoming abbot. Born Karl Wester in Unkel on the Rhine, Germany, he grew up as one of five children. Music came early: piano, organ and trombone, followed by formal studies in choral conducting, singing and church music. As a young man, he was involved in the Rhineland carnival scene. Years later, when the musician decided to become a monk, the Cologne tabloid Express put the story on its front page: “Our carnival fool is going to the monastery.” Wester had felt drawn to monastic life since his teens but initially chose music. Around the age of 35, close to marrying his long-term girlfriend, he finally made the leap. He entered Heiligenkreuz in 2001. Music followed him behind the monastery …Okuningi

She recited another hymn; I think it mentioned the burning bush of Moses. Then I saw the room filled with supernatural light which became more intense as it wove itself round Anna. The women sank to the ground as though stunned. The light round Anna took the exact form of the burning bush of Moses on Horeb, and I could no longer see her. The whole flame streamed inwards; and then I suddenly saw that Anna received the shining child Mary in her hands, wrapped her in her mantle, pressed her to her heart, and laid her naked on the stool in front of the holy relics, still continuing her prayer. judd saul @juddsaul Let's get something straight. In Nigeria, the "Herders" killing Christians are well armed and funded radical Islamists from the Fulani Tribe. The "Farmers" are unarmed Christian villagers from several different tribes who happen to be Christians. The Fulani are NOT indigenous to the lands they are attacking. It is NOT a clash when one side is armed and the other isn't. This means, that when one group that is unarmed is attacked by another repeatedly without interference, qualifies as a genocide. Genocide is defined and includes violent attacks with the specific intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnic, racial, or religious group. What is happening to Christians in Nigeria is in fact a genocide. It's not "Climate Change" as the UN refers to it. equippingthepersecuted.org
